“Reading is dreaming with eyes wide open.” 🌻💕

My name is Kiara. I am a second grade teacher. I am certified in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade. I am endorsed in Reading grades K-12, as well as English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) K-12. While I love teaching and currently teach Reading and Math, teaching Reading is my jam. There is nothing like watching your students not only make incredible gains in reading, but to also watch them become more confident in their reading abilities.

I have been teaching in the primary grades for 6 years and each year has come with even more knowledge acquisition on how to appropriately deliver the best reading instruction to my students. On a journey to fulfilling my purpose and walking in my calling, I felt absolutely compelled to share everything I learn on my journey through Education with parents/families to bridge the ever-growing gap between school and home.
